Nashville Music Medics /Anchor Down / Two-in-a- Row 07 Nov 2025
No Green Bananas has represented Nashville Music Medics at the Seacrest Studios now twice when everyone was rallying the 'Dores towards a victory on the gridiron. Last year it was Alabama. This year, Auburn. Was that a coincidence? Perhaps, but No Green Bananas and the Nashville Music Medics will still claim the kudos.
TWO pep rallies and two BIG victories but no goal posts into the Cumberland !!
Indeed, it was another exciting and rewarding day for us in the studio, reaching out again to patients, families and visitors at Monroe Carroll Jr. Children's Hospital.

As we began our set, we were joined in studio by a young man with his hospital escort, and serenaded him with our name song, which is growing in popularity. I saw him later in the day on Facebook with some of the uniformed Vanderbilt Commodores, as everyone was pumping up for the game that afternoon.

After finishing our studio set, we were met by our Vanderbilt Ingram Cancer Center escort, Julie, and again made our way to the Ingram Cancer Center across the street.
While entertaining patients and staff we were greeted by Chris, who was originally from the United Kingdom and a barbershop singer. He joined us in a song known to barbershoppers all around the world, "Sweet and Lovely"

The Vanderbilt Ingram Cancer Center is always a wonderful interactive experience for us with visitors in this open forum setting. We certainly are within reach of the guests. Our first serenade of the name song was to Jessica, who had been earmarked for the serenade prior to our arrival. Being within reach and interactive has a very different feeling and approach. When this happened after a few songs and a few minutes, our old baritone left the quartet and began wandering. He turned and summoned the three of us to join him where he was in the waiting area close-by visiting with Heather, who had raised a hand and admitted a recent 40th birthday. She was immediately the recipient of a not-so-private celebratory serenade, including "The Heather Song" of course.
Stand by, y'all. We'll be back on December 5. 2025 with some Christmas Holiday tunes.
It is Great to be a Nashville Music Medic changing lives one smile at a time.
Making a small but positive difference in troubled lives is a task so very much worth repeating.
By Sam English, Old baritone and Webmaster, for the Nashville Music Medics.
