Nashville Music Medics Feeling the Love! The Nashville Music Medics were overwhelmed by the love shown them from the children and staff of The TN School for the Blind, during our September 25 visit. The children clapped and cheered and smiled during our entire performance especially when we sang “You’ve got a friend in Me.” Some even sang along with us. What a treat for me when I chose this shy little girl named Anna Belle for our “Name Song.” The grin on her face was from ear to ear. They laughed at my (Grand) Dad Jokes; some even got the answers before I could ask.
There was this moment, however, when our Brahms Lullaby was introduced by our bass extraordinaire, Bill Munn, as being written by Johann Sebastian Brahms. The room went silent! Wrong Johann, Bill! Well, Johannes Brahms was also German! SIGH! LOL!
We even had our picture taken for their yearbook. What an honor! There are no words to express our feeling at being able to sing for such loving children. Our hope is to return soon to sing for them another day. Wayne Jackson, For Nashville Music Medics
